In the second story, When Ziyad Traveled to France, the reader will find a unique humanitarian example where a young man decided to rediscover himself in a foreign country to him. In France, Ziyad rediscovered himself, as well as his cultural identity too. And as for the third story, The Poor Brand, it is a symbolic story of a talented lady who worked for long years in embroidery and sewing women clothes in a working environment that doesn’t qualify either with her talent or with her faithfulness in work. When Mrs. Salwa got older, she found that her long silence on her cruel working environment must be stopped. Mrs. Salwa decided to take action, and through this story, the reader will find different dimensions in Mrs. Salwa’s personality, the heroine of The Poor Brand story.
